Sydney, NSW
New South Wales is a diverse state of Australia teaming with natural and man made beauty. Measuring just over 800 thousand square metres it manages to pack in forest, beach, snow, wineries and city. The Blue Mountains are a fine example of the extensive bushland covering vast areas, aptly named because of the blue colour hue of the mountains, produced by the eucalyptus leaves of the forest. Waterfalls, lakes and rivers flow throughout the land and out into the sea where the states coast can be excitingly rugged but more often then not, long stretches of white pristine beaches and bays. The Australian beach culture is prominent in New South Wales even in and around its largest city. Well renowned throughout the world for its picturesque harbour, stature and ability to put on a good show, Sydney is a glitzy loud city. The typical postcard image usually adorns the famous Sydney harbour with the city skyline, centre tower, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the renowned Sydney Opera House. These are some of the must see places as well as inner city beaches such as Bondi, historical and entertainment areas like the Rocks, museums, art galleries and shopping precincts. Venture back out of the city to the North and find yourself travelling through rolling hills covered in vineyards such as those found in the Hunter Valley, responsible for some very well known wines. Or go south and find yourself in snow covered Alps popular for skiers and snowboarders. With so much to offer a visit to New South Wales and Sydney has more then enough to cater to all tastes and interests. Sydney Attractions |
